FUNDING Options
REBATES
What’s available to you.
Private Health
Most private health providers cover services provided by a Speech Pathologist. It is recommended that you check with your health fund to find out if you are covered for Speech Pathology, and if so, how much you may be able to claim back.
Medicare
If your child has a chronic condition, that is, a condition that has lasted, or is likely to last at least 6 months, and requires a team approach to treatment, your GP may be able to organise funding for you through a Chronic Disease Management Plan. Only your GP is able to determine your child’s eligibility for this plan. If your child is eligible, you may be able to access rebates for up to 5 sessions per calendar year.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
The NDIS is Australia’s first national Scheme for people with disability. The NDIS provides support to eligible people with intellectual, physical, sensory, cognitive and psychosocial disability. In addition, an Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) approach is available to all children under seven — from birth until they start school — with a developmental delay or disability. ECEI services support children to reduce the impacts of any potential developmental challenge or disability, with the aim of developing the skills needed to achieve the best possible outcomes now and throughout their life journey.
Foundations Speech Pathology is able to provide services to individuals who have either self managed or plan managed NDIS funding packages.
Our practice has a HICAPS machine with EFTPOS and credit card facilities. Please contact us for details of our schedule of fees.
